Team Rynkeby participated in the route presentation of the Tour de France 2022

On the occasion of the presentation of the Tour de France route for 2022, Team Rynkeby was in Paris to focus on Denmark as a cycling nation.

On Thursday 14 October, the official route presentation of the Tour de France 2022 and Grand Départ from Denmark took place at the Palais de Congrés in Paris.

Team Rynkeby was invited and present in the French capital to attend both the official route presentation and the subsequent afternoon event in front of the House of Denmark (Maison du Danemark) on the Champs-Élysées.

On the occasion of the Grand Départ of the cycling race in Denmark, the route presentation began this year with a focus on Denmark and the Danish cycling culture, which is known throughout the world. - For Team Rynkeby, it was of course a great recognition to be invited to the route presentation in Paris and the subsequent afternoon event in front of the House of Denmark on the Champs-Élysées. It tells me that Team Rynkeby has been an inspiration to a lot of people. It is also a testament to the fact that over 20 years we have highlighted some of the new trends we see today when we talk about tourism, health and sustainability. Team Rynkeby helps to tell the story that the bicycle is a fantastic means of transportion, both when it comes to holidays, commuting and exercise. And it is furthermore both healthy and good for the environment when we choose the bike, says Jørgen H.K. Jepsen, General Manager of the Team Rynkeby Foundation, and continues:

- In addition to creating visibility about our fantastic project, the visit for us was also about getting closer to the French and Parisian authorities. As we have more and more participants year by year, it still requires a good and fruitful cooperation with the authorities to be able to cycle into Paris.

Royal visit to the Champs-Élysées
During the afternoon event, representatives from the charity cycling team stood in front of the House of Denmark on the Champs-Élysées, where a.o. H.K.H. Crown Prince Frederik and Minister of Trade and Industry Simon Kollerup stopped by to get information about the Team Rynkeby project.

In addition, passers-by on the famous street had the opportunity to try a Zwift bicycle simulator and enjoy a juice from Rynkeby.

The Tour de France starts in 2022 on 1 July with a single start in Copenhagen and the riders will reach Paris on Sunday 24 July. Despite its late start, Team Rynkeby will overtake the tour field, where the pedals will be in action all week 28 and the almost 2,200 Rynkeby riders will arrive in Paris on Saturday 16 July.
